Break:
i ended up taking a break because school + imploding family + art career life future choices are TOO MUCH Y'ALL and my horseland deviantart got lost in the mix. but things SEEM,, to have quieted down as much as they can, and the spring semester's over.
and one of my biggest mistakes is letting horselandgirl become one of the things that stresses me out.. esp bc everyone I've EVER talked to on here makes me so HAPPY!!!!
so let's have a great summer and DO GREAT WORK!! sorry for being sporadic, I can't wait to catch up on yalls art/messages/journals. A L L OF THEM

Spirit talk:
also has anyone seen the new Spirit show?? is it a MUST-SEE?? I watched a few minutes but decided I wasn't in the mood for it. if i'm going to watch a horse cartoon it'll be catching up on a Horseland rewatch sfldjs
from what I've seen I THINK making the horses talk would've been a good move for the show. without the narration (and since Spirit's not the focus character, the new girl is) his personality feels kind of........... not there. the horse animation was amazing enough to carry a big-budget movie, but giving him a voice might have fit the show format better. I got really excited when I saw Nolan North was one of the voice actors and felt realllly let down that he just voices the dad, because he would've been GREAT as Spirit. Spirit and the new girl both have feisty personalities!! IMAGINE THE BANTER!!
also Rain is.. not there? why would they add a bunch of new girl characters, but remove the one girl that was in the movie..? it's kind of a weird move!

Horseland:
anyway on another note Horseland will probably never ever leave me. I have stages.. I go through a Horseland phase every few months. I'll update as art gets made! (I'm reluctant to post non-Horseland art here. I'm thinking I'll make a separate art blog and keep this one for just horsie fandom, but I'm welcome to alternative ideas)
